Driving you kid back to Uni

I did last week. SW London to Liverpool and back.
Effing awful weather and tons of traffic. Oh and thanks to the t
ts in artics 3 abreast on the 4 lane motorway. That was fun queuing up to overtake through tsunamis of your spray.
Yeah, I'd normally book a hotel somewhere in the countryside south of Liverpool and go for a nice hike but this time it was drop her off, reset the sat nav and head back home.
465 miles, bloody knackering as I'm getting old and my car is an antique.
If I was stopped.....
She has nowhere to study in the house as it's a bloody warzone and the WiFi is crap.
(I don't live with her mum btw)

I took my son back on 4th Jan, following the PM’s announcement. Very short notice but grabbed his stuff and put him in the car. He complained initially but many of his friends had done the same and now he’s happy to be back in a learning environment even though all his lectures are on line. His course is about 80% practical but he’s done none of the fun stuff so far. Only the first year though so hopefully they’ll catch up through summer as things reopen.
Not normal as a student to be home with parents imho.

Whats uni-que about this situation is that the daughter has to go back to uni-versity. Perhaps if it is cold you could stop off at Uni-qlo and pick up some jackets.
You mentioned coming back via Liverpool. Are you going past the Uni-lever factory in Port Talbot?
