I am thinking of fitting Dzus quarter turn fasteners on the under bonnet panels on my 4.2 Cerb, as the long socket head self tappers they are fitted with from the factory make it a real arse ache to get them off in less than about half an hour!

Has anyone else done this?

my experience with zuse type faseners (international motor cycle road racing) is that they need tapeing over to stop them undooing,
but worth a go as i know what you mean about the std allen sockets, especialy the ....... under the heater hose.
keep us informed

If you are concerned that they will undo themselves without having to resort to tape them up. Try looking for Mil-Spec ones, as I've seen many a helicopter virtually held together with them.

You need a key to undo Dzus fasteners. If they are coming undone then they have not been installed right in the first place.
