Fonehouse SIM only deal, anyone used them?
Discussion
I really need to switch from Three to Vodaphone (Vodaphone has great signal at all my work locations).
Found a great deal through Hotdealsuk, I have 2 questions though.
1. Has anyone used them before?
2. Small print on Fonehouse says 'Please note - We can only accept a PAC / STAC if you are changing network. We cannot accept a PAC / STAC if you wish to remain on the same network.' In 12 months when my contract is up, will I have to lose my number? All these deals are new customers only, if it's the same in 12 months would I then have to contact Vodaphone directly and go onto a tariff with them that way?

As you are changing network (3 to Vodafone) you will need to get a PAC and you can keep your number. What happens at the end of the contract will be dictated by the deal you get. Usually, they will auto -renew or let you go onto a rolling monthly contract. I've just moved my wife's contract from O2 to GiffGaff (who use O2's network!) and it took less than 3 days to get a PAC and for the number to be moved.
I recently swapped to Voxi (they use Vodaphone) as my Plusnet (EE) signal just seemed to be getting worse and worse.
It couldn't have been simpler, you just send a text for your PAC code and when I activated my Voxi sim I got to pick a day for the number to swap over. I picked the next day, and mid morning got a text saying it had swapped. Just had to restart my Phone and I was good to go.

I was on GiffGaff for years, loved it, but their reception is poor a certain sites I work at sadly.

You will just go onto a rolling 30 day contract. You can then:
1. Stay with your current provider, on the same monthly rate / allowance.
2. Move to another provider (& take your number with you). However, you will only be able to port your number to a different network.
3. Renegotiate with your current provider a better deal.
Assuming you have a cashback deal with Fonehouse, option 2 or 3 is really the only option you should take.
