Ungrade W205 infotainment system upgrade - options?

I've been driving my C300 for a number of months now and I just feel let down by the infotainment system. I don't have apple car play and I just find it very basic.

Is there any mods or upgrades which dont entail you having to rip out the dash to install another system,

I recall seeing a SD install of apple car play, has anyone done this???

Have a look here https://www.commandonline.co.uk/ and see if there's anything suitable, I think they do some factory-kit upgrades rather than just needing to rip it all out and replace.

Are you sure it’s not already built in.

Mine has it (same model as you), you just have to physically connect the phone via a cable.

i have the same model and i dont have it either,

dealer says it 300 quid one off payment to activate

i think only amg premium has it

I have the premium so that may be the case.

I have seen some OBD plug in activation devices being sold for circa £35 on eBay.
