With a need later to help a company with their stock (pharmacy sector) there has been a request to find out if there are any price tracking software/applications that can keep track of different medicines and their prices in accordance with competitors.

Is there anything that's available that can be done via Amazon, as that will be the primary source of revenue online.

Do they just want to track prices, or be able to respond by automatically changing their own prices to changes made by competitors?

For the minute, just a price tracker. If prices can be adjusted at a later date automatically, that would be of benefit for them to know. Is there anything else available as such? If not, the above link should suffice.

I am a very long way from being an expert but if you and a competitor both run software that automatically tracked and reduced your prices would your software not fight each other so that you will wake one morning and find that both products had been reduced to 1p ?

Any seller daft enough not to populate the minimum price / minimum margin fields could end up there

Like this Derry firm Repricer Express sorry for Amazon 1p glitch http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-foyl...

You'd hope any software would allow you to set a floor/ceiling that the price couldn't go past.
