My in-laws have just got back from Las Vegas and while they were there they saw a scene from the Warner Bros film "Looney Tunes:Back In Action" being filmed. There in all its splendour was a silver TVR. They (and the admiring Americans) were informed that the car was British, made by a company in London!?!?!? and the factory had loaned them 6 models.

I am reliably informed that it was a Tuscan.

The film is due to be released in the UK in late 2003.

Oh dear. More publicity for TVR, more Americans asking for TVRs and little sign that TVR are serious about exporting...

Ted: Good! We don't get their fuel prices, big steaks or the right to bear arms; why should they get our cars?

Well playing devils advocate I'd say it was PWs way of getting someone with mega money to come in and takeover the company and allow him to retire.

Got to be coming up soon I'd guess.

Point 1: Bugger.
Point 2: We make the best in world, bar none. If they're too small because they don't have enough steroids pumped into them, buy two.
Point 3: Thank God for that.
Point 4: Economies and efficiencies of scale benefitting all of us?

Nothing, just that when I'm working in Asia it looks like I suffering from sleep disorder due to the U.K time of posting. Er, saying that I'm online at 03:20 right now.

Hope Singapore is treating you well!

I love Singapore. Cosmic was an ex-pat there for a few years and we honeymooned there earlier this year.
We'll be going back as soon as we are able.

Um, and back on topic; do we really want TVRs in films? Surely the secret will be out and everyone will want to buy one.

Yep, morning is breaking here and for some strange, sad reason I'm still online replying to 2 months of e-mails Have the delightful 16+hour direct flight to Hong Kong to look forward to in a day or so. Probably better to stuff my body clock up now in preparation for the time dif.

Aren't we all wonderful Globe trotting chaps.

I can't say that Indonesia is particularly exciting at the moment - especially as it is ten past seven and I'm in the office.

Cant speak for Frankfurt as I only spent an hour in the airport a couple of weeks ago when coming back from holiday but Munich last weekend was fab, particulary in the Pauliner beer tent at the Oktoberfest. PROST!

ouch! had to do NYC-HK flight a couple of times last year to go see my ops people in Asia. I had to fly JAL through Tokyo - who flys direct to HK? Recent downturn on Wall street has reduced us to video conferences...
