Netherlands rioting.

Well it's been kicking off all over the Netherlands, firebombs in the streets, riot squads, water cannons the lot.

Seems to be a mix of lockdown protests and general unrest.

Seems to be a mix of lockdown protests and general unrest.

Looks like Twitter has started taking the videos down as I couldn't get the last two.

Given that there are now protests in The Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Germany, UK, Poland, it appears that governments are beginning to lose the aquiecence of the people and certainly the police have lost support seing how heavy handed they have been in "managing" the protests.

There seems to be a lot of talk about the "Great Reset" and " Building Back Better".

It would be wise for politicians in the West to remember that they are only in that position with the good grace and permission of the public.

Given the growing anger and dissatisfaction amongst populations in the West the powers that be may not get the chance to Reset or Build Back.

Italian Govt has colllapsed, Dutch government has resigned en masse, EU vaccine rollout, approvals and ordering an absolute shambles, Germany and Hungary saying in effect "F off EU we are doing our own thing" so EU solidarity in tatters, Free Movement abandoned , its looking a bit squeaky bum time for governments in general.

There may well be a Reset but it may not be quite the reset the world leaders had in mind.

Evening Paul. It was on the ‘Great re-set’ promo video on the World Economic Forums website a couple of months ago.

The WEF took the video down after a somewhat tepid reception from the plebs.

I’ll have a quick Google and see if I can find it for you, but I suspect it’s been permanently erased.

Politics in Italy has a long list of resigning governments, nothings changed.

The EU vaccine rollout isn't perfect but a shambles is exaggerated. We're stuck with the virus untill at least the summer anyway. In the summer (from april/may) the virus is pretty much gone, so the roll-out needs to be finished around september. Not in april.

These rioters in the NL are a very minor % of the population, and entirely made up of young scum.

Dutch government has resigned (almost at the end of their term anyway, elections are scheduled in march) for other reasons than the Covid response.

Approval rate for the Corona repsonse is actually fairly high, around 70%. I believe the only leader in Europe that saw his approval rate lowered since Corona entered the world is Boris Johnson.
