The other half has inherited some shares. She and I have no clue whatsoever what to do with them.
Are they likley to go up significantly? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

It depends on your circumstances really, if you need the money for something then sell them and use the money for that. If you do not need the money for anything then they may pay a dividend every year and go up in value.

As simplistic as this sounds he’s on the money. If you had the cash given to you would you have bought stock in these particular companies? If not why would you keep them now?

Don’t know about BB, but with the current price of Lloyds, if you don’t need the cash right now, why would you sell?

Thanks for the advice and comments so far. The executor has just listed them as 'Lloyds TSB' in correspondnce.
I'm guessing she won't need the money. More importantly I don't think the other half would have considered of buying shares before this.

Because from what we have been told the OP has absolutely no idea about the fundamentals of Lloyds or BB, probably has no intention to keep track of the various quarterly's and RNS's that the companies released, so how on earth can he justify holding those two stocks over the thousands of other companies he could own?

Unless there is some sentimental reason to hold the shares then i think that the OP should in no way keep holding.
