Anti-theft Gismo's for Jagos
Discussion
"My thinking goes like this - no car thief worth his salt will nick a kit car."
Now......I ain't having a pop at a fellow member for saying the above on one of the strings on the Forum,
but I've just had a phone call from a fellow JOC member who's waiting for the police to come and pick up a bit more evidence after some dratsab had tried to hot-wire and nick his Jeep. Due to an isolater in the wiring circuit doing its job, both Jeep and owner are still together thank goodness.
Perhaps this should serve as a timely reminder to us all.

The simplest are sometimes the most effective:-
1.The Discarnnect set up, few seconds under you bonnet,
2.Battery isolation switch, as fitted to comp. cars.
3.Big hungry dog poked with a pointy stick before you go to bed!!
Also seem to remember a locking type tyre valve, that you put on, if any one drove away the tyre went down!
bit of a bind if you forget about it though.
Or the dog LOL.

be obscure
anyone who thieves cars can overcome most alarms
but for eg an old motorbike fuel cut off tap in the fuel line will defeat most
especially if it is hidden
everyone ignores alarms
except you if you know its yours
so a musical horn or a claxon or a pig or cow horn will make people look
removable stuff works well too i love the idea of taking your steering wheel away with you - caterham style
just on a jago you'd need to carry a socket set lol
[yes ive been to the pub so am now rambling]

Ok you may all call me names and think im very sad but its taken me a long time to get hold of my Baby and i aint about to let some tea leaf take it away. I have ready to install in my Jago the following:
1. Toad motion sensor for the inside, one move and it pages me to let me know there is someone in my geep, and what part of the jago they entered.
2. Standard alarm that cost 25 pound so if it gets rocked or moved its going wake me up!
3. Crook lock on the streering wheel.
So you see only paul daniels if likely to get in there unknown, but hey dont count your chickens i can also get the old 9 iron out for a few holes.
Dave ( 4 days to go and baby, i cant wait )

Mea Culpa - I hold up my hands Driftwood - I said it.
I do like the motorcycle fuel tap - it works and can defeat the owner - old FX4 Taxi's are / were fitted with this type of device as a safety thing Public Service Vehicles have to have a fuel cut off - ask any Motorcycle Courier about stopping buses in Oxford Street - I had an old FX4 with a push/pull type fuel tap and sometimes the vibration would shake it into the stop position very embarrassing and a nuissance as it meant the engine needed bleeding - being a pre auto bleed Perkins.
I also had an old ambulance these are also fitted with fuel taps.
