Difficult choices company car allowance must be under 160kg

First world problems.

My new employer gives me a car allowance. But the car has to meet the following.
Under 4 years old
Under 160 kg co2
Have 4 seats.
I am coming off a 350d cls shooting brake (162kg co2). So style and decent performance are important to me. I don't need an estate any more and my budget is £30k max. Ok man maths could get that to £33. I do about 20k miles a year so comfort is a must as is a clean pair of heels when getting a move on.
The Short list I have come up with in current order of preference.
435d coupe or grand coupe
E400D coupe
S3 sports back.

Any help refining the list or anything I have missed.

Previous cars. Mk1 1600 escort. Scirocco mk1, 309gti, bmw318i coupe, golf gtd 130, 993C4, Audi S4 4.2v8, C220,Bmw520d, Mercedes 350d cls shooting brake.

If your going 435d then for your budget you could go 640d

Yes it’s a discontinued car but then the 435 will be old shape now also

Good call on the 640 but walking up to it from behind would remind me that the designers wanted to get home early that night. The 435d is the old shape but the of the grill on the new 3 and 4 series split opinion.

Fair enough - only a small budget creep would get you into a new shape A7 which are lovely looking things on the road

I wouldn’t write off the 4 pots. The current bmw 2.0d is quick and there isn’t much between it and the 3.0d. The 6 pot is smoother though. On the flip side the 3.0d is only a tad less frugal. Basically if the 2.0d gets you something much better spec and newer than the 3.0d, I’d certainly consider it.

Again a good call on the 4 pot. I just think I would miss the pull of the 6 cylinder my existing 350 pulls like a train and on an uphill section of motorways it often surprise people. This is going to be a tough call.

My money would be in the E400. It looks so much nicer than the BMW. Both on the inside and outside.

The e400d is pushing the budget but it definitely ticks the box for style and folding rear seats to.

Man maths will have to come into play. Oh and finding someone to purchase my cls 350d shooting brake.

Now the Maserati is an itch I would love to scratch but I definitely have to get under 160 kg co2 my cls is 162 and work have refused to accept it. Grrrr I am not kidding when I say I will miss my cls. So much so I have thought about changing jobs. Lol
