Just got rid of 3 points and guess what?

Here comes some more!

Any advice as to what I'm looking at here in the way of fine and points?

Doing 85 on a dual carriageway just outside Poole in Dorset and I spot a van with Police markings parked on the verge, stupid me thinks that the camera is going to be behind the van so it can take nice picture of the back of my head.

:driving: Apply brakes and cruise by without a care in the world and ten days later get a nice letter from Dorset Police.:weeping:
(What happened to the 'they can't take a picture of your face due to the data protection act' thing then?)

Anything more than three points could mean real trouble as it gets me to 10+

Any tips/ideas on what is in store as I'm rapidly approaching twelve points and a ban could prove 'interesting' to say the least!

All I was doing was driving to Poole to look at a new fridge in Comet.

:scratchchin: Makes that 25 quid I saved look a bit pointless now.............

If the dual carriageway was a 70 limit, you should just get the standard 3 points fixed penalty, surely?

You might get a better and more informed response posting in the 'Speed, Plod and the Law' forum, though?

One that was really cool.

A bit like me with the sun shining, the top down, doing 85.........................

There never seem to be the fridge/freezers about these days, its either one, or the other.

We dont' all shop at 'Iceland' though, its sometimes better to offer a choice I feel.

I bought a fridge freezer but I didn't get any points with mine. Can I claim them retrospectively?

This one has many good points, I wish we had room in our tiny kitchen for one just like it

I particularly like the seperate freezer drawers. Surely that will fit very neatly in a standard 1200 unit?

Oh, and does that model come with points or not?

I'm happier with a separate fridge and freezer: a freezer can live outside as it's not really part of the family. It's only visited occasionally to remove some leftovers that you couldn't bring yourself to put in the bin.

A fridge however can become a loved and trusted member of the family, its cheerful hum providing a much needed backdrop to life in a TVR owner's kitchen.

It's been a long, and difficult, day........................................

Might it be worth, taking this matter up with 'Comet'
it was after all the responsibility of retailer
(your haste to purchase) perhaps in future they might be more enterprising in, proximity of stores.

Doesn't it say in the letter whether they're going to take you to court or just give you a fine and 3 points, because in court they usually give you a few more than 3 points, the *$#'s.

Hey Prunus

You *may* be ok, depending on our random justice system. I got flashed at 97 in a 70 and received a 3point conditional offer. Decided to keep quiet and pay up; i reckon i got away lightly! (This was on the A449 in Wales

Good luck - theiving morons.

BTW do try and take the time to listen to Paul Smiths presentation to Bristol IAM - very interesting.... does a good job of revealing what a bunch of liars the Scamera Partnerships are
