We use APC and DPD for domestic but always favoured UPS and Fedex for international.

We have been booking through interparcel to get a slightly better rate but recently if there is any issues it takes forever to resolve.

For maybe 20 international parcels a week of 5 kilo bags to 10 kilo parcels. Who would be best to go direct? Mainly Ireland and Europe, 20% rest of the World.

Happy to pay more for better service.

Using a third party means that the courier company will only deal with them for a lot of issues as you are not the couriers customer.

You can book direct off the UPS website at a discounted rate. For those volumes you probably won't get much of a discount by having an account but it wouldn't harm to speak to an account manager
