sick of the shocking response time from HL re trying to contacting them by phone. Was about to set up a monthly plan. like their funds, but not the service, interested if there are alternatives out there people are happy to reommend

I moved away from HL and I'm now with AJ Bell with my SIPP. It's not quite as slick, but is cheaper for my relatively small pot.

The alternatives depend entirely on how much you're investing, and if it's SIPP, ISA or wrapper less.

Try secure messaging via the app. They were quite responsive when I transferred some shares into my account from another provider, as they're currently not accepting any in certificated form.

There’s a few comparison sites out there, and I think the Telegraph has one to compare platform fees.

Depends on your amount held, frequency of trading, funds vs shares etc.

I use x-o (jarvis). Shares only in ISA £5.95 per trade. Web site works well very few problems hasn't got the bells and whistles like H-L(who use as well) . Use HL watchlists to keep track of both Hl and X-O shares (+ any potential future purchases)
