Looks nice. I guess as the car gets into the 2nd decade then there are going to be things that need doing. A set of new PCCBs won’t come cheap for example.

Can only put the Porsche warranty on for one more year if it’s important for you.

991 - yes

997 - I'm not convinced that most have been on extended warranty programs so I don't think it's a big driver of 997 values/desirability. The oldest are now around 14 years and the newest 8/9? The % of UK cars still under an extended OPC is warranty will be pretty small I think.

Is a 997.1 GT3 really any more complicated than a 996 ? Lack of available Porsche warranty on the 996 doesn't seem to be doing anything to stop those appreciating.

im curious on this point too. i specifically waited for a car with warranty but it will be in my ownership that the car will become ineligible. i dont know if/when i will sell unless an rs pops up but it wont be for a while and who knows what the market looks like then

PCCB's can be resurfaced ... Sicom used to do this ... maybe under a different name now.

Otherwise Surface Transform discs can be fitted ... far superior to the PCCB's and once the car is outside the warranty, what do you have to lose ?

Nice car from the looks of it ... and the 3.6 Mezger engine ... sweet.

I don't see the issues. Buy on condition. Buying an aircooled car is far more of a minefield the biggest issue being rust.

This 997.1 GT3 does look nice, but blue does seem to be a martime colour on these, not sure why.

Even worse then - I don't get why people can't spend a few hundred quid a year on a £80k car to get it serviced. Then when they come to sell it they still expect all the money.

I have seen quite a few of Ashgood's cars being sold with gaps in the history - are buyers really not bothered at this price point?

Believe this is incorrect, 2 years minor or 12k, 4 years major 24k miles.

However most I believe service annually, if it's only just oil and filter.

/\ Correct

That is lovely & a fair price.

997 GT3’s are surely one of the best cars from Porsche in recent years, miss my old one.

Ashgoods are brilliant to deal with from experience, Knowledgeable, polite, and honest.

That won’t stick around for long..

If I could fit some rear seats, I would take the plunge. I'm the meantime I will stick with my modified reimagined sport classic.

The 997.1 has all the seat belt anchor points etc. So you can quite easily convert the rear to seats. Not so from 997.2 onwards
