Just a thought, now that the dust has resettled regarding Silverstone, what about making contact with the guy who currently owns that 'high mileaged' V8s which is currently for sale (with 240 miles on the clock)? And see if he will 'play ball' and put the motor on a trailer and bring it to 'S' Club Heaven. It COULD be star of the show??!! Just got to be nice to turn back the clock and see a new one again!!! What do you think? Worth giving the seller a call, after all if he is trying to sell it, worth it just on the free publicity he will get!

I'm really hoping that somebody off here buys it and recommissions it, I bet it needs a good look over after all that time with very little mileage.
Once its back on the road, there is only one place to be this August,(and we all know where that is don't we?)

And if nobody buys it via Pistonheads? I think it is still worth getting in touch with the person who currently owns it, only to ask if he/she will put it on show should they not find a buyer before the great event. On the other hand it could be also advertised elsewhere and sold to someone who knows nothing about Pistonheads and the Silverstone event. It would be a shame not to see a 'brand new' 'S' even though it might be 'seized up!'

....I worry about the miles I do to what it doing to my car but 240 miles in 13 years, your guess is good as mine to what condition the engine is really in.

240 miles!!some distance from my 170000 miles V8S!
We change the worn out gearbox last week end(we leave the engine in situ without taking out any wiring or hoses, and it's worked..a little tricky)
