Do you want to see this fly?

This just popped up, part of me is in awe that they managed to build something, the other half that they are deluded to think it won't kill them.

Fair play, its inspiring to see that kind of creativity and drive, to do it all yourself. Considering what they have to work with they have done very well. I hope they dont get to fly it though, as its proportions look terrible, and I imagine elevator and rudder control will be distinctly lacking. In Finland, a local farmer also built his own aircraft and flew them illegally. They were also VW boxer powered. Each time the police would show up and confiscate the machine and fine him and he would just build a more refined version. one of his aircraft is in the national museum at Jyväskylä.

How did arrive there - through the roof? That being said, I have spent a fair amount of time flying "homebuilt" aircraft (built to a far higher standard than the usual club spamcans though). You just need a responsible adult to inspect and sign off your work, More involved if you're building a completely novel design, I'll admit.
