"Alice" my 93 4.0 deserves a nose job and I am thinking of a Zertec ( or similar?) headlamp upgrade. Any advice on which type, likely cost, different quality of paint jobs and any recommendations would be really helpful.Any do's or don'ts, Any pictures, Anybody in the Bucks/oxon area that has had one done? and finally which are the best glues for sticking roof canvas and/or loose bits of walnut veneer?
Thanks in advance, Mike.

There's been a few threads recently on this (but not all the pictures are working)...

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=8&h=&t=15534

but here's a picture...

Also there's a article here about the conversion on a Griff www.pistonheads.com/tvr/griffith/zertec.htm

Looks ace, I'm probably going to go for this next year.

Had it done by the TVR Bodyshop in Bristol. They did an excellent job and the finish is perfect. Even the guys in Hawthorns (now the deal is done!) think it's great. I think it really brings the looks of the Chim up to date (IMHO) and yes I'd have it done again. Though I now have a Tuscan, so it's done already!
Can't recommend the TVR Bodyshop enough, great guys and really helpful.

They don't do the S12 conversion.

I've also had the front and rear light upgrade from TVRBodyshop earlier in the year, no problems with it at all, excellent finish. I also think it looks more modern, certainly seems to generate more interest .
Again, the guys at TVRBodyshop were excellent.

Can you tell me who does and who might be nearest and best to talk to, I live on the bucks / oxon border?

Thanks, Mike.

The pics of mine on the above links should be working again soon - swapped servers recently and *forgot* to transfer the persoanl stuff!

The Zertec S12 conversion adds the indicators as a third element in the light cluster, as per the Speed 12. This also makes the original indicator mount redundant, and this mirrors the mean and moody big black holes look of the S12.

All subjective of course, but I have had several comments on mine from people who did not like the twin headlamp conversion, but think the S12 rocks. Well 'ard. No-one, not one person, has said "you shouldn't be doing that, you should leave it original". Plenty have said it looks better than standard.

I like it - a lot - and I am VERY pleased with it, and the work done by Peninsula, and thats all that matters really!
