Wife wants a mirror?
Discussion
Hi, not been in for a while, S3 is going well execpt for slight manifold leak, which I will fix sometime. The wife is actually quite liking the S, but hates the mirrors (S1 floppy type) and won't back it out of the garage until I change them. The real S3 mirrors look good, does anyone know where to buy, and if you can wire the electrics in easily? Or any other suggestions for aftermarket.
Thanks
Nic

This is about the cheapest place I found CX mirrors when I was looking a while ago.
About £30-40 each (complete), these are new and less than the cost of an alternative non-standard mirror like the Audi TT ones I had on my S which IIRC were about £60 each!

I've fitted Ford Fiesta Mk2 mirrors to my S2 which suit the car.
Paid £10 for the pair from a brakers yard. There are 2 types one has a manual remote mirror ajuster, this type may not fit. The other type fits over the hole left by the TVR ones.Make sure you get the rubber gasket, that fits between the mirror and the bodywork as this is the template for drilling the new fixing holes. You will also have to replace the fixing studs with longer ones.
