I have a 200 mbs service.
It measured 236 early Sunday morning. (i'm wifi btw)
My PC which is an oldish Dell pentium twin 2.5g it is getting 39-42 Mbs download. No problem with Netflix or youtube, I sometimes get buffering on Amazon prime movies and also on movies from my own carrier.(Comcast/xfinity)
My wife's cheapo $140 fire tablet is getting 95 Mbs plus.
I have not looked at the packet size on the ro5ter, but if her android tablet is sometimes over 100Mbs it is probably optimum

Possible problems, 1 my PC is old, 2 Microsoft, 3 need a new router capable of better output.

I do have two echo dots and a echo show around the house, but they were on idle during testing..

Maybe a better wi-fi adaptor?
I have 150 at the box, 133 on my phone but 50-60 through my old computer's D-link wi-fi adaptor and only 10 through a wi-fi plug-in extender.

I think you'll find the tablet supports 5GHz wifi, and the Dell only supports 2.4GHz. You can get either a replacement internal card (fiddly to spec and fit but most elegant) or an external USB dongle.

If you're generally near the router, the small USB dongles work well, if you're further away (weaker signal) look at the larger ones as they've more room for a better antenna.

You are correct the Dell is 802.11n.
I suppose I could buy a new PC, but I hate doing that, I've only just domesticated this onesmile
I've just "amazonned" a new adapter, I'll give that a try, and se if I squeeze a little more out of it.

Thanks.

Very good result with new adapter clap
From 40 Bps....to 123.5 Bps

Adapter is a Bos Trend AC1200 $29.99 from Amazon
Looks like a cheap piece of plastic crap. but works
Old one was a 10 year old Netgear N150
