Diff Overhaul - Quaife QDH6M
Discussion
I'm considering replacing the aged Hydratrak with a Quaife ATB

The problem is I doubt I could refurb the diff myself, and I'm not that keen on removing it from the car either
It is simply too heavy to muck around with, and the idea of injuring myself right now is not very appealing
What are my options (based in W London)?

Unless someone local volunteers to give you a hand or you find a garage willing to remove and refit, presumably storing the car in the meantime you could try Python Racing around Colchester.
Looking at where you are Str8 Six or Bespoke might be a bit closer. If you can get the diff removed locally John Read of Grantura Engineering is commonly mentioned.

Hi Paul, I done this mod on my supercharged verb, the old diff was very noisy and clunking around. You’ll need to overhaul the whole unit new bushes bearings and ATB. If the top mounting bolt is seized it’s a real balls ache . I can recommend someone in Berkshire who is very competitive. He will let you do the running around to keep the costs down. I bought the diff from Quaiff myself dropped the whole diff off to Gearbox Man in Dunstable he swapped the diff and replaced the seals and bearings and then I got it refitted. You need some specialist tools to do part of the job and not many places have them. If you need any more info pm me your number and I’ll give you all the details.
