Have played COD to death, as well as the HL series.....

Only interested in Campaign style, not online stuff.

Ideally, able to DL from Steam or similar....

WHY ?

I'm Stuck playing Assassin Creed Valhalla. First AC game I've played in a long time and really enjoying it, to the point I'm trying to 100% complete some of the side stuff, which I never do.

Iron Harvest is also good if you like old school RTS games. Graphics are not amazing but game at is solid.

Here are some of my favourite PC games, that are offline and might inspire:

Anno 1800
Bioshock
Control
Doom 2016
Doom Eternal
Disco Elysium
Dark Souls 3
Hitman (1,2,3, the new ones, though Blood Money was great too).
Hotline Miami
Metro 2033
Factorio
Fallout New Vegas (get some mods to bring it up to date)
Stellaris

Watching, as just finished Witcher 3.

I'd be playing Last of Us 2 on the PS4 but with the kids off school, no chance.

I'm glued to Factorio at the moment, so much more to it than I first thought
Taking a break from Kerbal Space Programme which I've put far too many hours in to over the last few years.
Witcher 3 was pretty good to begin with but eventually got a bit to much in to go to wherever, fight this thing, go to next place, fight the next thing, etc...
Started XCOM 2 but it gives me motion sickness

Borderlands?
1 is showing its age but the other 3 are good fun and don't require much thought, just pew-pew-pew all the baddies with weird and wonderful guns -

(that's the gun talking)

Death Stranding was very good. It's a nice change not to be shooting things. Sad it's over, really.

Resi Evil 2 remakes also.

I guess you're looking for more FPSers? If so:

Bioshock series
Destiny 2
Dishonoured 1 & 2
Metro series (2033, last light, exodus)

Other good first person but not focused on the shootery bit:

Portal 2
Fallout 4

And if you want other non-first person games.. I could be here all day. What do you like in a game?

If you've got the power, then considering the style a lot of the others have recommended game wise.
Cyberpunk 2077
Maybe wait until after the big February patch, but for most of us on the PC it's played well and the bugs tend to be minor graphical which you stop noticing after a while.

Mount and Blade, either Warband or Bannerlord? Warband is graphically hideous by today's standards but anything more addictive comes in a syringe. I haven't played Bannerlord but it has the scope to be an even better base game. That said, the mods are what make Warband so compelling.

I ran Cyberpunk perfectly well on a Radeon 580 (not 4k obvs)

Bought Factorio last night. Wow, this could be a real time sink, it's taking some time to get my head around not doing things manually though.

Didn't find that.

XCOM and XCOM 2 highly recommended... but hard!

Both are vastly improved by the expansion packs, particularly 2.

How about Far Cry - 3, 4 & 5

Or, if you want to go retro - the original Far Cry. Just avoid Far Cry 2 at all costs.

Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. Skyrim, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Outer Worlds, Outer Wilds (Confusing)! Cyberpunk2077, Halo Masterchief Collection

Plenty to keep you going there!
