Brake lights

Help please, I have a Honda CRV MKII. When breaking my drivers rear break light is dimmer and with headlights on the rear red light goes out when I press the breaks; can anyone help? Cheers

I'd suggest an earthing problem somewhere. Have a good look around your light housing for rusty connections.

It's probably a bad earrh or connector block in the boot. Take them apart and check/ clean.

Bad earth. I had it on my bike where if you applied the brake the headlight came on!

I would suggest that perhaps the bulbs may have been fitted the wrong way round, whist difficult it is still possible with stop/tail bulbs and i've seen it done a lot

If that doesn't work take a look in the heavy housing under the dash.
