It does look likely Red bull will get their F1 Engine development freeze in 2022.
Only requires a majority of teams to vote for it and Mercedes and toto seem to be going along with it.
No doubt all the mercedes teams will agree.
So thats 2 red bull hondas and 4 mercedes teams = 6 yes
1 renault and 3 ferrari = 4 probably not.
I can only thing they haven't got around to rubberstamping it yet due to covid restictions.

Don't Ferrari have a veto?

There's a second question about levelling up though. It's no good having a development freeze if you're stuck with 100hp less than Mercedes. RB don't just want a freeze, they want to reduce the engine to effectively a common commodity part.

They might just sneak the majority, but I think it hangs on Renault.

Ferrari, Haas and Sauber are probably obvious no votes.

Mercedes, Aston Martin, Williams and McLaren are most likely a yes, as are Red Bull and Alpha Tauri (Obviously!)

Not sure on Renault - They don't have a bad engine, but would they be interested in a freeze?
