Seriously...I know what you mean, but it'll mean a lot of pre-games reinvestment in that region, and also in the transport links around. Plus the amount of tourism and outside investment it'll generate will actually be a boon for the economy.

So overall I'm all for it.

The fact that it sticks two fingers up at Chirac is just icing, as far as I'm concerned!
