Is it me or is the push/pull brake back to front

So I've not had my 991.2 very long and the only thing that annoys me is the hand brake. Is it not back to front? All other e-brakes I've had on cars, have always been pull to put the brake on and push to release - just like a conventional hand brake.

Why have Porsche done it the other way? I am constantly having to think and mostly get wrong each time. I'm sure I'll eventually get used to it.

Anyone else?

Its the other way in BMWs and VW's.

I have to think of it like the brake pedal ie push for on, pull for off or it is very confusing.

Remember OP you don't have to do anything to release it - just drive away.

It is annoying when I jump into my wife's Macan as that is pull on and I have to sit there and think about it. In the 911, I've now got it down to muscle memory 😂

As long as your seat belt is fastened - That took me ages to work out moving the car on my drive

It’s not intuitive at all - I just don’t bother these days and leave it in gear when I park

Not on my Spyder, it’s very confusing. I don’t understand the logic but sometimes you can just drive away and it releases, other times it will only release if you put your foot on the brakes first. I hate it.

Completely agree, had my 991.2 since August and still have to think about it! Mind you, previous 6 years of having a range of BMWs might have something to do with it...
