Scarlet Flare Yaris GR Circuit Pack
Discussion
So after many months of waiting I picked up my Yaris GR today, very pleased to see that it is literally exactly how it came off the transporter with all the protection and even the numbers still on it.

They did think it was odd that a car was leaving their dealership in that condition but I had my reasons which were basically it was going straight to auto wax works for PPF and ceramic coating.

The drive was only about 10 miles to not a huge amount of time to test the car plus it needs to be run in but initial impressions are that I like how it sounds, I can already tell it is a quick car, the grip is immense (my first 4wd car) and that rear view mirror in combination with the infotainment is annoying! I did try turning the mirror sideways which does help but I wish they had just fitted a smaller mirror.
Looking forward to picking it up next week.

They are deeply impressive for going very fast down fun roads. However, the engine has no sound when heel and toeing and the engine is quickly overwhelmed by the capable chassis. You’ll get to the point very quickly where you realise you can full throttle pretty much everywhere. I found this out within 20 minutes on a 1 hour test drive, in zero degrees on wet roads....it was quite frankly ridiculous and I got back deeply impressed but thinking...."If I can do that in these conditions, it’s going to be boring in the dry."
Thanks all, I put 50 miles on it last night trying it out on my local roads to get used to driving a manual again and I enjoyed it.
I love how little it is plus AWD is a new experience for me and one that I have to do a fair bit of learning with it but I'm looking forward to that, I'm not sold on the in cabin noise yet so switching that off and getting an exhaust may be on the cards.
Had two rather embarrassing moments so far and both were at the petrol station.
First was not twigging that the fuel filler cap was on the passenger side so pulling up to the wrong pump and the second was not being able to work out how to open the fuel filler cap! Turns out (thanks to youtube) the release is on the drivers side floor.
If work is slow today I might take it out again but if I am busy then the next trip with be Saturday to diddly squat farm shop as I need some breakfast food.
Lastly something that needs to happen asap is getting rid of that new car smell.
