I have a Mazda 6 sport. Just had a new DPF fitted, light came on after a week so had it regenerates via diagnostic computer but 2 days later it’s back on.

It’s only a runaround car with 125k on it, just wondering if there is likely an underlying reason why it might be clogging straight away or more likely to be a sensor issue. Want to avoid it going into limp mode again if I can help it

DPFs are designed to last the life of the vehicle. Replacing one without fixing the problem that caused it to be clogged is aski ng for trouble. However, it would need a pretty extreme problem to clog a new good filter so quickly. Are you sure the old one was actually clogged?

Why did you replace the DPF ? the Mazda 6 usually has other issues that make you think its the DPF when normally its something completely different, its usually the timing chain or when serviced both service counters not being reset.

had it replaced as the garage wouldnt just leave it out haha.

So it's more likely a sensor issue or needs a service reset? I assume mazda have to do that though?
