What’s this CCTV setup?

The house had this when I moved in. I did connect it to the TV at first, but some of the cameras don’t work and the ones that do have the image quality of a potato.

I keep idly wondering if it’s worth fixing/upgrading since the wiring is all in place. Would be nice to have remote access. But I don’t know what kind of system it is and what kit works with it.

That does look like the DVR box. Not sure what that means about the type of system though?

Some swear by the old style cabling, I’d rather have PoE cameras. If the cables pull freely you could use the existing cables to pull through some cat 5e cables and swap out the full system for a modern one.

Maybe these things are all much of a muchness , but this Revotech model looks very similar ...

Perhaps you can swap cameras out for newer, better quality ones but keep the cabling?
