As my 'badge' thread has been locked, I just wanted to make clear I was not “Bad mouthing” Leven. (They have been very responsive and helpful in all my dealings with them in the past.)
I was simply trying to understand if this is a common problem, or not. A legitimate question I feel.
PS Whilst I would not expect £70 (£35 each) to buy me a “Lifetime guarantee”, I would not expect it to turn into an annual charge!

Apologies for what was perhaps a somewhat agressive response.
In all seriousness, you will most likely find that a cleaning product (including polish or wax) is contributing towards the problem. Use only water and I doubt you will have a problem. I know of badges that have been on cars for six years and still look as good as they day that Leven sent them out.

Sorry to hear about your badges de-laminating.
When i got mine the instructions made it clear not to over tighten the badges or this problem would occur.
If you have a metal ruler, i would put it against the metal part of the badges and see if the badge has been pulled to the curve of the body panel.
IMHO it sounds more likely that thay have been over tightened.

I bought a leven filled front badge from Racing Green about 18 months ago. Fitted it to the Chim looked the dogs..decided when I got the Tuscan to get it transfered.... 2 weeks later epoxy filler fell out. So I supa glued it back in. I think this was due to the new curve of the Tuscan bonnet.
As I still have my old Gold front Badge I have now bent/formed this to fit the curve of the Tuscan bonnet. Shall be sending it and a new gold rear badge of to Leven this week for the treatment.
As Podie said you can't expect a lifetime warranty for £35. I do think however that it is a little impractical to only use water to clean it when it's nailed to the car!

Understand the issue of overtightening, and can see how that would cause problems, but I was aware of that when I fitted them. Indeed, I couldnt get my hands far enough in to put the nuts back on on the front badge, so used double sided stickies, so there shouldnt have been any strees on the badge.
(going back to the lifetime guarentee point, £35 x 2 for some plastic glued onto some metal, with no moving parts, no wear, nothing else to do but look pretty! - why shouldnt I expect it to last longer than me!)

Unfortunately moving parts or no, there has not been a glue "epoxy” or otherwise included that has been designed to stick to something forever!
