SCSA Rockingham 3rd July - photos
Discussion
rex and I managed to swing Media credentials for the SCSA racing at Rockingham on 3rd July.
The results are up on www.matabooboo.com - password 'rock'.
We would be interested in your feedback/comments/criticism, especially from some of the excellent photog's on here who excel at photographing things on 4 wheels... ;-)
Cheers,
Joe.

An old university friend is the producer for the TV company that covers it for Motors TV, so we got in through him. (I have done work for him before).
However, once you have a body of work, preferably published, then you have a good case with most circuits. Starting with the less well attended ones is best, getting access to the SCSA at Rockingham is a little easier than gettin F1 credentials for Silverstone I am sure.
Having a website helped too, so we could point people to stuff we had already done - rex had some cool stuff on PBase that he had done as a member of the public at Brands, and my friend knew that I knew which end of the camera was the right end to look into.
Best thing to do is to find out who the promoter/Press officer is for an event and give it a go. Be nice, sound like you know what you are doing and do it all the time, and give them a CD of the best images afterwards if you think it will help swing the deal. Have a good reason for going, or what you may do with the images - they will ask.
It was a great experience and a great eye-opener, we certainly learnt a few things on the day. More importantly we made some good contacts, which we are now following up on.
