LG Smart TV's only getting Netflix, nothing else
Discussion
Since moving house last week, we're now using 4G for internet.
We have two samsung TV's and two LG's. The Samsungs work fine. The LG's, we can watch netflix but youtube, prime, disney etc only work sporadically. When they don't work, they say, network failure or words to that effect. TV's say they're connected to internet. I tried changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 after reading that suggestion online but no joy.

Total guess, but maybe the LG's 'network is good' tests are more latency sensitive.
I had an enforced 4G only stint and don't recall any issue with my LG but it might have been I only watched using external sources... Sky box, Netflix via Chromecast rather than onboard WebOS.
Have you got a Chromecast you could test with?

If you go to your internet settings, is it constantly connected? Before selecting anything, does it say "Connected"? Mine does this when it has DNS issues. The TV might be ignoring DNS settings from one place or another, so worth making sure they're in sync and correct in both places.
Also worth checking where the TV is taking the time from. I've seen it before where it's out of sync and fails due to that. Whenever TVs have problems, it's always Netflix that works, never any other app.

No Chromecast but AppleTV etc works fine for iplayer etc where TV itself doesn't. But really want to get working on TV as it's far more convenient. Seems to be constantly connected. Does indeed say connected. What do you mean by making sure DNS is in sync? I'm a bit of a techno thicko. Also worth checking where the TV is taking the time from. TV's getting time form London.
Wifi is handled by 3x unifi AP's. This morning it is actually working okay on the TV that is closest to the AP that directly plugs into router. Another LG TV is connected via an upstairs AP which in itself is meshing via another AP in between. All wireless. I must admit, I don't enough about how all the unifi stuff works and slightly regretting that set up in terms of usability but it's what I have for now at least. Maybe it is related though. In old house TV's were hard wired and AP's were also all hard wired. I might be able to achieve that here but it will take a long time. Stone walls and floors this time around so much trickier.
I'm also having a similar problem, Netflix working but everything else says no internet connection. Now I have recently installed a second router and tried every different configuration on it to try fix the problem on the lg TV, the only thing that fixes it is turning off the second router. What makes me think this is only a LG problem not the routers doing is that all other devices are working fine. Symptoms on TV are with both wired and wireless. Have changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 on TV and other suggestions on the web to no avail. Of anyone gets an idea I'd like to try it.

I fixed it with DNS settings. Will check what I used in the end and report back. Just an update on the LG TV situation, as it was the only device acting up , I did as stated above and turned off ipv6 on the advanced settings in network on the TV and all apps are now working, I also gave it a static IP of 192.168.0.2 with gateway of the router and DNS of 8.8.8.8.
All good for now if I run into any trouble I will update and try Gad-westy info. Thanks all
