Hello All
Im a current university student studying automotive engineering!
In september 2005 i will be starting my final year, at the end of my degree in june 2006 i hoping to come to the USA. The goal of this will be to find a job in the Motorsport area. Was hoping if anyone could give me any pointers on where to look or if anyone knows anywhere i can try or get started.

If you want to work in the US Motorsport categories then that means looking at open wheel Indy / Champ cars or closed vehicle NASCAR series - Nextel Cup / Busch / Craftsman truck. Both open and closed wheel series offer competitive high budget racing where a lot of work is needed to get a competitive advantage over others.
I would look at buying Autosport to follow up on the series - if you are going for an interview they will EXPECT you to know all the major drivers and teams, because all of the others interviewing certainly will. I'd look in the jobs section at the back of Autosport and other internationally sold magazines to get an idea of who is prepared to look around the globe to get the right people.
That said the next part is getting the interview and that isn't going to be easy. Then you need the work visa. That is also difficult. I would keep applying and find a team who is prepared to sponsor your visa and then the Green Card application. It is a lengthy process but the money is excellent, and if you are doing something enjoyable the combination would be hard to beat.
