What OBD code-reader should I get?
The aim is under £100 for use by an enthusiastic amateur. Been searching the forum and can’t find anything definitive/recent.
The cars to run it on in order of urgency are:
Golf (MK5)
BMW 330d (E90)
RR (L332)
Lexus LS400/LS430
BMW 844 (appreciate this doesn’t have the same sort of set up)
My sense was that the “best” would be the Launch CRP123, but these seem to be about 50% over budget. The other brands I was focussing on are Autel and Foxwell, but they all seem to have an amazingly wide product range.
I am sceptical of the cheap ones on Amazon, which seem to have impossibly good reviews. Do I ought to be?!
It would be particularly useful to be able to reset airbag lights amongst other warning lights, but this seems to need more expensive ones?
