This won't really set many hearts racing, but here is my 'new' XC60. I bought this because I want/need an AWD for the boatramps and taking my jetski up, out of the water. My FWD S60 has struggled on a few ramps and totally let me down on one ! This is a lovely oldman car though. Typical volvo comfy seats and excellent sound system. Loads of equipment. The D5 engine is torquey and as sweet as a 5cyl diesel engine can be. (Also why I bought this car - last of the 5 cyl). The missus and I both love our black cars with black interior, so she's also happy with it.

Looks smart smile

Did you go for the automatic or the manual version? How is the performance for overtaking?

It's an auto. Just happened to be an auto I found on a car that I wanted, And Auto or manual on a car like this makes no odds to me. In fact I'm probably leaning towards auto.

Great cars, had one for a while and loved it. I bought one as a treat for myself and probably stretched a little further than i was comfortable with financially.
Ended up selling trading it in against my civic which is costing me about £250 per month less in finance and running expenses but doing everything I did in the volvo. Loved the car, just not the costs.

Looks like you'll be using it properly, not just on dry tarmac going 8 miles to work and 4 miles to the shop!

Very nice looking car.

Mrs has the D4 variant. Such a comfy car. Plenty of poke. We did want an AWD variant, but in the end we saw a FWD version which had the essential (to her) winter pack in a dark red, so she opted for that.

We have the same car (except manual), had for just over a year as a back up family car/dog chariot. We have been very impressed with it. AWD has been very useful. Especially last week. We also specifically wanted the 5 cylinder , nice engine, torquey and not stressed in the same way modern high compression turbos are , so hopefully a longer lifespan. Its a car I think we will have forever . We will see....

I plan on keeping this one for a good while. Probably until I replace it with one of the last available ICE cars. ( Before their sale is banned). The AWD has proved it's worth in the snow. Works fine and can be easily provoked into a bit of oversteer.
