This strikes me as absolutely insane! Using one bubble to create another...

I guess at some point it becomes big enough to self sustain but it leaves me very uncomfortable!

I was going to buy some TSLA last week. I own very, very few single stocks but thought it looked like a good bet. Then my common sense kicked in and I told myself to sleep on it. The next morning I thought better of it!

I will probably be kicking myself in 5 years, but honestly its just such a gamble for me its not worth the risk. News like this makes me think perhaps I did the right thing for once!!

Don't expect you be buying a car from them anytime soon using BTC. Crims will love it if you could though, perfect way to launder money.

Glad I was buying at $4k a few years ago when Lemming Train was declaring it dead.

I can’t help but be suspicious of Musk messing with this. There is a fair bit of overlap in investors in BTC and Tesla. I’m long on Tesla in the long term, but it’s a long and winding road. if BTC crashes hard I can see Tesla going with it, and vice versa.

All smells a bit funny to me.

To be fair, any sensible person should think what Lemming Train was.

But bitcoin’s performance is a reflection of the upside down economic world in which we’re living.
Where looking for yield means we put all ideas of P/E to the back of our minds and go purely on price appreciation as a measure of value, which ultimately means greater fool or pyramid scheme economics having taken over what is now the asylum.

It’s going to end badly one way or another.

If that's your take, I'm happy to not be very sensible. All you had to do was look at 2013 and what happened the following year, then look at 2017 and what happened the following year. To me, it was obvious that December 2018 was the time to take the gamble.

I'm curious to see who, if anyone, is next.

With Saylor and Musk as sales reps, I'd expect at least a couple more sales to make it over the line.

I bought a couple more shares today, the Americans might react favourably to this news when they get to their desks. I have also started investing in coins in the last month, done pretty well so far. Having said this, both will now tank.

In that case, when would you bank the profits?

Is now a good time to invest more? If not, would you hold?

It feels like we're nearing the peak - mass media, colleagues start to talk about it etc. Dec 2017 all over

For balance you should also quote those that were saying that widespread payment acceptance was just around the corner and that Lightning Network would allow infinitely rapid payment throughput at near-zero cost.

I showed that one in particular because as a long time participator in that thread, Lemming Train has a history of trolling people, as do a few others, such as Condi although he at least makes arguments for his point of view. Lemming Train is just a troll. There's a crypto called Chainlink that a poster gave a heads up about in summer 2019. It went through a bad patch and he was at it again, See Here.

Lemming Train in August 2019 said:
Down down down, down dowwwwn down hehehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9APAHhIPhJE

Where is Dr. Crème brûlée telling us all to buy buy buy and become millionaires ? hehe
For reference, the poster who originally brought it up at a price of around $1 was "DrSteveBrule"

The price when Lemming Train was trolling was $2.

The price today is $25.

It’s not, you can’t buy Tesla with BTC yet.
