Hi folks! Some time ago I was trying to find the name of the song that could be heard in a Honda Jazz ad, and the PH collective were able to identify it as Black Cherry by Hudson Mohawke from my description alone - result!

I have a similar request, only this time I can share a video featuring the music. I've tried using music ID apps to work out what it is but I've had no success. Any ideas? Thanks for trying!

Edit: won't embed so here's a link...

You know when you're editing video using something like VivaVideo and it gives you a whole library of 'free to use' music.... to me it sounds like one of those non specific things. Perhaps so they don't have to pay licence fees for use. Just a thought smile

I did consider it. But as it was the Olympic channel I was hoping it might not be a cheapy free to use track!

I would be inclined to agree with the above, it's likely to be a piece of copyright-free music. The good news is that there are channels dedicated to showcasing those songs. There's one on YouTube called 'Alrota Music' that seems to have quite a few uploads from which you might be able to hunt down the track.

I can’t say I noticed any resemblance and I’m sure the tune in the video clip came long before the Foo Fighters song.

I didn't imagine the music was of the same era as the video either, to be honest. I would suggest posting it on Reddit's /r/TipOfMyTongue subreddit as well. It's exactly the kind of place someone who would recognise it instantly would be lurking.

Reddit is exactly the corner of the internet I tend to avoid, because who knows what lurks beneath!
