Java RMI problems - suggestions?

Having issues with RMI Stub Classes - no surprise there.
The class (FwkIcRemoteIfQImpl_Stub) is pressent in my package tree but I'm still getting

java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: entities.fwkinterconnect.FwkIcRemoteIfQImpl_Stub
at sun.rmi.server.UnicastServerRef.oldDispatch(UnicastServerRef.java:352)
at sun.rmi.server.UnicastServerRef.dispatch(UnicastServerRef.java:207)
What's the latest greates technology I can use to rip this rmi shit out and put in something that actually works?
