Has anyone else struggled to get a refund for cancelled or spectator-less races in 2020 from #www.motorsporttickets.com ?

I have been persistently fobbed off by them since September 2020. They claim they are reliant on Monza refunding them and initially said I could expect a refund in November 2020.

My argument is I have no relationship with Monza, only a relationship with #www.motorsporttickets.com therefore they are liable for the refund. In my goodwill to them I have no longer the opportunity to reclaim the money back via the bank as it is over 120 days since the cancellation.

Are you affected?

Did you get a refund?

Would you buy a ticket from them in 2021?

Would you use them now you know what to expect if races are affected in 2021?

If you paid with a credit card, definitely talk to the bank. Your contract is with the ticket agent, not the circuit.

There’s a high probablility that the agent simply can’t afford to refused everyone, given all that’s happened in the past year, and if the bank gets involved they’ll sort it quickly.

Sadly there’s few good options.

Apparently section 75 has a longer refund period than the 120 days the bank offer. But Visa back section 75 so will be trying that route next. But I won't be buying anything from these merchants again.

As he says, If you paid with a credit card pursue a refund through them, If you didn't pay with credit card, learn from it, always pay for holidays & flights with CC.

I chased a well known online holiday operator (with a name similar to a well know grocery delivery firm) for ages to get a refund for my cancelled flights, couldn't even get to talk to anyone, only options on their website meant agreeing to far less than I was due. Finally went down the credit card route and had the whole lot back in a few weeks.

So I get an email today saying refund into the bank within 7 days. Another member of the group gets an email saying he will get his in 2 months and he won't be getting all of the money back as they will be charging him the cost of the refund. These guys amaze me.
