Absent mindedness

I don't know if I'll get stick for posting this or not, I usually do when a subject like this crops up but do you know anyone that you cant believe they actually manage to get through the day?

I work with someone and without fail he leave something behind on every job we do. Its usually things like drill batteries plugged into chargers left in the customers house. I have to go round the job when we are finished whilst he is sat in the van ready to go to collect all the stuff he has been using and left behind, more often than not I come out with an arm full of stuff.

If he has been doing work at home, more often than not he turns up to the job without any tools as they are still in his house. Today was a classic even by his standards, he was been working on his own this morning and picked me up at lunch time to go to the next job, the parking was in a multi story car park and he says to me as I get in "do you think the van will fit under the barrier with the ladders on the roof" I reply there aren't any ladders on the roof. He looks very confused and says well I definitely put them on there before I left the job, a quick look in the back of the van and the ladder straps are still inside.

I know other people like this and the common connection I can see is they are totally hooked on Facebook and the like on their phones.
