Had a couple of hours to kill so watched Greenland on Amazon.

A few too many plot holes and ridiculous scenarios.

7/10 at best for me.

7?? hehe

Gerard Butler makes some censored but this was grim. Special effects budget of 10p!

I actually really enjoyed it. It was rather better than I was expecting it to be. They kept it modest and tense rather than being bloated bilge.

I know, I was being generous for the letchworthyness of that woman from Deadpool. laugh

There were some laughs in there too. I know there weren't supposed to be but they were there anyway.

You don't watch a Gerard Butler film and think it could be an Oscar winner.
You leave your brain at the door and hope it's ok, which IMHO it was.
But to use a term that is used too frequently " It is what it is"
No more no less

I didn’t mind it, you know exactly what it is going in.

I quite liked seeing that particular story from those on the ground rather than Bruce in his space shuttle. Some ‘interesting’ Physics though!

Would also give this 4/10, didn't really care for the families predicament as it was completely self inflicted.
Like World War Z it fell down by focusing on th unlikable characters rather than showing the wider picture, the whole every good guy was cast as BAME was a bit trying as well as it took much of the suspense out of the scenes.

Cracking ending
I thought that was pretty dire.

Would have been better to end at the impact with them sheltering near bunks... then show 3 years later with Butler looking over some architect plans, with a half wrecked town somewhere in Greenland in the background, doing what he was doing in the opening sequence rebuilding, and his wife and son with him, rather than apart from him which is I guess maybe why their marriage was struggling with him being busy all time.

The message then would be really positive. He’s fought for his family and despite the world ending he’s still got them and they’re with him and making the world again for his son.

Instead we got a few tweety birds.

i though it was ok. Predictable but easy switch brain off watch. I was personally saying hope they’ve got a plane or helicopter stored away so they aren’t stuck on Greenland.

About half way through it.

What utter tripe.

Funniest thing so far was the hammer in the head and the way they all fell off the truck. hehe

Having watched numerous other disaster films involving 'a family', I knew what was going to happen from start to finish. The predictability is what ruined it for me.
