Another Brand Question
Discussion
Inspired by the brand loyalty thread.
What brand have you wanted to own but never made the move?
I've always loved Ducati bikes, but the 'brand' specifically isn't that important to me. What I really want is an MV Agusta...
Practically, a Brutale Dragster 800. But for the design/beauty alone maybe an F3 or F4.
One day hopefully, If I can convince the missus.

MV Agusta for me too, specifically a F3 800rc, if I’m honest the reason I’ve not looked at one more seriously? It’s probably their reputation, more the long waiting times for parts, when summers here I couldn’t think of anything worse than having one sat in the garage I couldn’t use due to needing a part that’s on back order!

Why would you you have to convince the Mrs? Sad state of affairs when someone has to justify everything to their partner. All too common.
Or you have a joint bank account so want to make sure she’s ok with you taking ten grand out to spend on a toy rather than something she wants/needs?Sounds pretty reasonable to me!

I was rather lucky in that respect, I was looking at quite a few, but was on the fence for the MV as it was a lot more than some of the other options. My wife told me to get the MV as it's what I really wanted, and we'd sort the finances out later :-)
Always fancied a Guzzi too, maybe when im older, the latest California looks like a great cruiser.
For those aspiring to MV Agusta, just get one and stop worrying
..even the Italian Police are using them now https://www.mcnews.com.au/police-motorcycles-italy...

As it should be! Wife's support and sort out the details later - win win. Enjoy the SV.My wife told me to get the MV as it's what I really wanted, and we'd sort the finances out later :-)
MV - had ducatis for a few years now, love MV design but never bit the bullet. Never seemed as complete when I ride one
Victory - don't know why, but always wanted one, still do, just the riding style isn't quite right for me yet
Benelli - nearly bought a tornado 3 times now, but the reputation for reliability and general issues keep putting me off.

As if anyone with a joint account is going to remove 10 large without discussing first. My point was that the mrs needs ‘convincing’. Big difference in being under the thumb and a pussy if you want to spend your hard earned on a bike or whatever you want and having to convince your significant other. If you have a disposable 10 grand that doesn’t impact on joint expenditures then I wouldn’t even consider convincing anyone. Sounds pretty reasonable to me!
My boyfriend loves my Harley.
Ducati,I’ve always,always wanted one.
Had a demo on a Supersport last year and left totally let down.
Read all the reviews on how it was such an underrated bike and how good it was but just didn’t gel with it.Gutted.
Love the looks of the V2 but don’t want too kill another dream.
Edited to add that I know it probably wouldn’t be classed as a proper Ducati but circumstances state that it was probably the easiest for me to get on with.

Because I already have five bikes, so getting her on board with the significant expenditure and reasoning on a sixth would keep my relationship in good stead. Technically I could go and do it tomorrow, if I wanted to prove how 'manly' I am.She's not unreasonable by any stretch. But I just bought a truck without discussing it and that had me in the dog house for a few days.

What was the big let down with the 939 Supersport? Had a demo on a Supersport last year and left totally let down.

I’ve been looking at one to replace my SV650 trundle around bike that compliments my old R1 collection that do the mental stuff. Sort of like a posh Firestorm (of which I’ve had 3) and I also had an aircooled 900SS in the early 90’s.
