Can anyone tell me what this symbol means on my VW crafter van?
It only comes on occasionaly for a few seconds accompanied by a long beep noise
There seems to be no mention of it in the handbook, and no definitive answer via google searches

That pic is pretty much identical to any icon used in many cars for lane departure warning.

I had this exact symbol for the first time this week (on a VW Arteon). Show had melted and re-frozen over the sensor for the Adaptive Cruise Control - which is located in the VW badge.

Have that on my transporter too, I crapped myself the first time it flashed up, going through a village with two sharp left turns, right turn hatchlings, cars parked at side and you have to cross the painted lines.

That's normal. I swear that mine flashes if there's another vehicle in the same county. You can adjust the sensitivity with the controls on the steering wheel.
