how do I display xp license key

I've got xp pro installed on one pc and want to install it on another (temporarily) and I can't find the key. How do I make the pc with it installed tell me the key I used?

If you're talking about a retail license of XP, it simply shouldn't work (even if you did manage to get hold of it) as MS product activation is required. If it was this easy, nobody would ever buy a kosher license!

if you just need it temporarily, you can install it and use it for 30 days without activation...

Is it not on a sticker on the outside of the machine?

Control Panel -> System

may tell you here in the "registered to" section.

Careful though - if you activate another PC running the same license I don't know what impact it will have on the original when you try to get updates etc.

Try www.belarc.com It analyses your computer and tells you all the license keys etc you have on it.
