Audi Long Life Servicing on a 2 Year Lease

I have a A3 on a two year lease. It looks like it's set for a two year/20k miles long life service schedule. Im not going to hit 20k.
If I hand the car back a couple of weeks before the two years are up will I get away with having to do the service?
Looking at the lease companies small print it states I must service the car promptly in line with manufacturers schedule. Reading this I guess I'll be okay so long as the service light isn't on when I return the car.
Has anyone had a similar scenario? On an A3 does the service light appear exactly on the two years or does it appear a few days/weeks before?

As long as the service is not 'overdue' then it's fine, well it was with vwfs. The service countdown can be on the dash. As audi servicing is ludicrously priced I'd pay the early termination and give it back a month early to avoid cutting it close.
I've always found though that I've never made it to the 2 year mark it's always thrown up a service about 3 months before the end of the 2 year term.

Across 5 leases with VWFS, Alphabet and Arval, each car has been inspected and collected by BCA in a single visit. Could you elaborate on who your experience was with? The service indicator has a countdown. If you return it with, say, 10 days until due, then the service is not technically due yet.
If you wanted to be extra cautious you could schedule a return just before the service due comes on.

The car will tell you how long it has before it's due an oil service/inspection. Easy enough to plan your return just don't leave it last minute.

My car due back 19th March, collected three weeks ago (inspection and collection same day) and 600 miles to service was showing.
I called VWFS up to check on and they said as long as it had more than 100 miles left on collection it would be fine. The 100 miles was to make sure if could be driven to their local depot and still not be overdue)
1 x rental and service cost of circa 300 quid saved. Although to be fair, the chances of me doing that 600 miles before March were slim just that I know the indicators can drop disproportionate when short journeys are made so didn't want to risk it
