Problems with Chrome?

Morning everyone,


I am having problems with Chrome on my Macbook pro which randomly started out a few days ago.

I turned the Macbook on like normal to start work and noticed that the bookmarks I regularly use had all disappeared from the chrome homepage, along with that all the icons along the bookmark bar have lost their 'logos/colour' and are just the black/white globes (links still working), the history was backdated and when typing in a common URL I need to type in the full URL as its not recognising it from the first few letters.

Its physically still working but annoying as I flick between sites very often so the bookmarks and saving or URL's is efficient for me.

Nothing has changed on the macbook, I switched it off one evening and woke up to this. Does anyone know what it could be and how to restore it to how it was before with my recent searches, bookmark etc, even after using it the last few days its still barely recognising my searches and saving site.

Any help appreciated.

Strange, I've had exactly the same issue a few weeks back, plus I couldn't type in passwords etc

Switched to Firefox and everything works perfectly !!!! no idea what happened or why...

Very odd, its also not saving any history at all.

I have googled it and its been mentioned about chrome not syncing so will have to look in to that, frustrating though when its nothing I have done!

Were you signed into the browser before?

Are you currently signed into the browser, and have sync enabled?

If you were signed in previously then try signing in, and see if your bookmarks return.
