As part of a service to my 2007 DB9’s automatic transmission, I would like to change the O rings that are fitted to the ends of the oil cooler pipes that go into the Thermostat.

Can’t find any reference to them anywhere - Aston parts list, ZF catalogue etc.

Can anyone identify please - size, material spec and source?

TIA.

Are you sure that those joints have O-rings? To me they look more like the sort of compression-type joint you get on brake pipes

If you have the old ones out try these guys. I think they even send you a sample if you ask nicely

Thanks for that suggestion but I am trying to get some before the car goes into the workshop to have the auto trans serviced.

Daivid, when you find suitable o rings for the oil cooler stat pleaae let us know.

The autobox oil replacement is my next project next winter. The info for this job is on Aston 1936

Having no luck so far Paul, definitely let everyone know if I find some but not holding much hope at the moment.
Been following Steve at aston1936 but he didn’t replace his O rings, maybe that should tell us something!

Surely they're just O rings and nothing special? They won't Aston or ZF specific will they?

Any decent mechanic/garage will have a selection of new O rings in various dimensions all neatly sorted into compartmentalised plastic boxes just waiting to be used on a job like this.

Trouble is I don’t know the exact material spec recommended for ZF auto trans fluid - there are at least 3 different materials used in O ring manufacture. I would rather not get it wrong.
