“I do not want to make any excuses," he added.

Quickly followed up with the worst constructed excuse I’ve read in a long time laugh

Mayor apologises for momentary lapse of judgement?

Mayor really resigns because he got caught.

It's surprising more sportsmen don't go into politics or even British Rail managers, they are so much better at coming up with excuses.

I don't even understand the excuse - his uncle called him for some food to be delivered, and he went to the uncle's house to open the front door for the delivery person, although there was 8 people inside already, and he accidentally went inside to join the other people?

It’s up there with “my penis accidentally fell inside the sheep”

Celebrating a wedding vs unloading a full trailer of booze at Aldi/Lidl. One is legal and one is not,

Unloading the trailer will lead you to come into contact with far more people. Including me giving first aid to a driver who’s fallen with an electric pallet truck last time I was there.

Perhaps the problem isn’t the person but the obscene rules.

Whilst ever it’s okay to carry trailers of booze all over the country I’ll not be seeing the logic behind stopping folks seeing their families and friends.
