Hi guys,
I wondered if any one has the new shape X3, as I’m wanting to know what there like?
Drive, space, equipment etc?
Are they worth the money over there rivals, as wife looking at Range Rover Evoque, I know slightly smaller, but always had BMW’s I’m I'm not keen on the Evoque.
Cheers

2109 model and very happy - I didn't add masses of options but would def add the Harmon Kardon Stereo and LED lights.

The G series X3 is very good, not really an evoque competitor as it's larger and more practical whereas the evoque is more about style and looks than space and practicality.

I'm thinking of getting one too. In a 2012 Cayenne on 21s with air at the moment so I'm a little concerned about the ride quality on an X3 3.0d M-pack. I won't be going larger than 20s that's for sure and will hopefully get one with adaptive suspension.

We had a new X3 M40d delivered in October having pre-lockdown looked at and test driven lots of options. The Evoke is very cramped in comparison. The X3 is well equipped, fast, modern.

Funnily enough in 2019 my wife swapped her 2014 Evoque that she had from new to a 3.0d G01 X3. She loved the Evoque, but she prefers the X3. Its much quicker and more economical they her old 2.2d Evoque.
One thing to consider, the X3 is a bigger car, far more storage space that makes a huge difference with a family

I bought a G01 X3 M40i new in June 2019 and absolutely love it !

I've had maybe on average a car every 2 years and get bored easily but this is great. I did not need the size but fancied a 4x4 with poke and this had it all. I tried one and the limited edition leather sold it as more premium and the one in stock had more extras than I needed but what the hell !

It is well made, goes brilliantly and is, in my case, fairly frugal for a 3L in line 6.

No faults in 20 months and I still love it.

The worst thing I can come up with is that when the tailgate is open water falls into the boot due to the design ... but other than that I find it comfy on 21 inch RFT's and extremely well put together . I came from a 2017 M240i convertible and this is in a different league for build and far more sorted. I have the HUD and would not, now, be without it. The suspension is far more sorted than an M240i and the higher driving position is lovely. Memory seats allow for tiny changes of position and the other half loves it too.

I have just had it serviced at 10k miles and the only thing they have done is replace the luggage cover which stopped retracting. I would thoroughly recommend trying one !
