I had a huawei phone, now and again there would be no sound when making or recieving a call. Very annoying.

I never really gelled with the phone and always wanted another Samsung. So after yet another silent call session i thought sod it and went and bought a Samsung.

All good I thought, no more silent calls, new Samsung is nice. Happy days. And then.........
Another silent bloody call. Phone rang, answered it and nothing. Rang them back and nothing. Waited a short while and it was OK again.
Any ideas? Faulty sim card, network provider issue (O2).

Is the call from a known contact? If not, it’s probably just a spam call. They tend to dial numbers and if there is no one actually free at their end to try to convince you they really are genuine when you answer, the call is ended.

Also happens with calls from the wife. No real pattern to it.
Me calling other people, people calling me, known contacts or new numbers.

My wife gets that sometimes. My son and daughter, exactly the same hardware but on a different network, never have any problems.

Speaking to other people who use the same network as her, it's a common complaint. It's her work phone though so she can't switch. It's very frustrating.

I get this on my S9, no pattern to it. My solution is to tap the speaker phone button then tap to turn it off and now it works. No idea why though and have tried all the 'fixes' on the Internet.
