Going round in circles

I have a Peugeot 208 GTI that finishes its PCP in mid-May which I intend to hand back as it's not big enough now for my needs.
I'm trying to figure out what to do next and frankly feel like I'm going round in circles. This is also compounded with currently waiting an exchange and moving date from Essex to Norfolk.

I thought the easiest thing would be to speak to my Peugeot dealer and see what I could do. I quite like the look of the new 2008 and they came back with another 3 year PCP needing a £2,000 deposit and £350 a month. This is a £100 more than I'm paying now and I'm reluctant to go mad on paying a lot for a new car sitting on the drive with more focus on working from home.
So then I thought I would look to lease and Gateway 2 lease have some good deals in the 2008 showing as in stock. But "in stock" seems to mean factory delivery in so it's hard to try and pin down when I'd be able to receive a new car to co-ordinate with sending the current one back.
So then I thought I'd think about a used car and there's some options out there, though there's not a whole lot and of course not being able to view or test drive creates an issue.

So right now I am going round in circles and maybe I'm rushing and should wait but with a big move approaching just want to get something sorted.

Oh and it doesn't have to be a 2008 but I am looking at estate and suv options.

Not sure what advice I might be asking for but just needed to rant a bit.

If it does not have to be a Pug. Then I would say there are some good recommendations in the smoker barge thread.
Some to consider based on looks/your needs etc/diesel or petrol. In no particular order.

Volvo V70

Anyhow, if you can buy some time then do so because a house move can be stressful and you don't want to make an emotional decision either to regret it. Read reliability reviews, user experiences and, some dealers might allow an unaccompanied test drive post lock-down.

Use as much time as you can without rushing if you have the time.

Does it have to be a new car?

Why not get something like a used Sportage with 3-4 years warranty left & buy that rather than lease.

Nope it doesn't have to be new which is why I'd also consider used. I suspect I'm frustrated that I can't go looking at the moment!

I think if you get a loan out it'll be the better option if you're thinking of buying used.

I know this isn't helpful to the discussion but I can't believe that quote for the 2008... £2,000 and £350 a month!

What mileage was that based on?

At £350 a month I’d definitely not be going a Peugeot 2008 or any Peugeot. That is as a big fan who adored the 208GTI.

That was 7,000 miles a year. I showed surprise and was told that Peugeot are moving more upmarket and are therefore more expensive.

That's just main dealers pulling peoples pants down. My friend has a 2008 for similar monthlies. Daft as at the time the 3008 was available for a similar price online with same deposit... Much better car.
